Alumni of UET established Alumni Chapter in Saudi Arabia.
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has officially launched its Alumni Chapter in Saudi Arabia to unite its graduates residing in the Kingdom under a common platform. This initiative aims to foster mutual networking among alumni, strengthen their connection with UET Lahore, and enhance collaboration in academic and professional spheres. During the inauguration, the first executive body of the chapter was announced. The appointed office bearers include Mr. Mazhar as President, Mr. Asim as Vice President, Mr. Jawad as General Secretary, Mr. Naveed as Finance Secretary, Mr. Sarmad as Joint Secretary, Mr. Abdul Rehman as Media and Academic Liaison Officer, and Mr. Dawood as Welfare and Events Coordinator.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir addressed the inaugural meeting through an online session and appreciated the formation of the chapter, calling it a positive and constructive step. He expressed his optimism by stating, “The UET Alumni Chapter in Saudi Arabia will significantly contribute to the advancement of the university’s academic, research, and administrative goals. This platform will enhance the global reputation and prestige of UET Lahore.” He further hoped that the chapter would utilize the professional expertise and experience of its members to support the university in overcoming various challenges.
Members presented the agenda of the chapter to the Vice Chancellor which was approved, Chapter body also informed about the 3 funded projects awarded to Civil, Metallurgy and Computer Science department students. Vice Chancellor asked chapter to register themselves for fund raising in saudi arabia for UET welfare and briefed about the other chapters of UET Lahore and their Contributions. Chapter body appreciated the vision and dedication of Vice Chancellor for the improvement of UET Lahore.
