Quaid-e-Azam College of Engineering & Technology, Sahiwal, affiliated with the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, held its first convocation ceremony. During the ceremony, 39 students from the Civil Engineering Department, Session 2021, were awarded degrees and honorary medals. Vice Chancellor UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, graced the occasion as chief guest and conferred degrees and medals upon the graduates.

In his address, Dr. Shahid Munir congratulated the graduating students and praised their academic achievements. He expressed hope that these young engineers would play a vital role in the nation’s development and progress. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Khalid Farooq, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mr. Muhammad Asif, Registrar UET Lahore, Mr. Zargham Nusrat, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Naveed Ramzan, Dean, Faculty of Chemical, Metallurgical and Polymer Engineering.

Distinguished guests included Dr. Javaid Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, University of Sahiwal; Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, Principal, Government Graduate College, Sahiwal; Mr. Muhammad Shehzad Rafiq, Principal, Government Imamia Associate College; Mr. Shafiq Ahmad, Principal, DPS and College, Bahawalnagar; Engr. Nauman Baig, Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Sahiwal; Engr. Talha Zeeshan Afzal, Executive Engineer, LBDC, Sahiwal; Engineer Umer Ibrar, Executive Engineer, Sakhrawa Division; and Mr. Waseem Irshad, Business Head, JS Bank Lahore. The event marked a significant milestone in the journey of the college and celebrated the accomplishments of its first graduating batch.
